Kobe advises Ariza on how to be a leader

Post#1 » by Minhee » Mon Nov 2, 2009 12:25 am

I know we have a thread on Ariza watch but I thought i open one up on how Kobe is helping him become a leader. Is there anymore doubt that Kobe is a good teammate/leader? Anymore speculation that players don't like playing next to Kobe?

going to kobe to learn how to be a leader is like getting advice on how to talk to refs from rasheed............
Before you criticize someone, walk a mile in their
shoes. That way, you'll be a mile from them, and
you'll have their shoes.

Don't worry about hit sashalex, obviously just a Celtic fan and Kobe hater and he obviously doesn't understand Kobe's growth and maturity from maybe 4-5 years ago.

wrong. i'm not a kobe hater. i think he is an amazing player, with otherworldly talent. leader is just not a word i would use to describe him. yes, kobe has matured the last 4-5 as a basketball player. he has learned he needs his teammates to win, and so on. that doesn't make him a leader though. being the best player doesn't make you a leader.

STFU ! Kobe showed last season his leadership abilities. If you don't know anything about Kobe and his privacy, just STFU ! You just see him on the court and a bit outside.

You're as green as your Celtics are !

leaders don't demand trade cause the players around him aren't good enough. i like kobe, but i don't use the word leader to describe him. that doesn't mean i think he is any less of a player.

For all his failings Kobe still has a great relationship with all of his past teammates and rivals. Something that cannot be said about most other "Great Leaders" in this league.

you believe he matured as a player but he cant mature as a leader? So even if he exhibits all the qualities of a leader from here on out he can never ever be a leader because of that? LOL

All the clips of him coaching his team in the playoffs all the players who talk about his work ethic (and in ariza's case following one of kobe's shooting program to make him better)and how it makes them better. If you dont think he is the unquestioned leader on this team your a hater or extremely ignorant.

Im not trying to say that kobe is the best leader ever and is infallible. But he is most definitely the best leader of this team and one of the better leaders in the game right now.

So let me get this straight. He demands a trade due to lack of talent around him, he gets his support in two players and he wins his first MVP and a title and finals MVP and you consider that wrong.
Why? Paul Pierce did the samething, do you consider him a leader or a follower?
