Adam Morrison - Not interested?

The hype surrounding this guy in the off season was high and he sounded truly committed to making a come back and earn a role as a shooter on an NBA team and the compliments from Phil as the best shooter in camp and a good performance in the summer league got everyone hopes up but what now is wrong with this guy?

His touches in today's game:

A wide open 3 - Airball.
Then clanks a 3 against the flow of the offense.
Loses the ball out of bounds after hitting his foot.
Clanks 2 free throws.

For someone who's not going to see more than 10 mins in a week he seems terribly uninterested and just going through the motions now. Is there a reason for the management to not ask this guy to not show up and reduce the morale of the team? The only valuable asset is his expiring contract right?

The dude looks unhappy every time I see his face on TV. Doesn't even look like he wants to play basketball. Ship his ass out.

As a player in the NBA, confidence is 80% of the battle..........Adam has lost all of his, his career is over. I'm not even looking for this dude to contribute anything towards our season.

meh.. I'm pretty sure thats how he is... Its not his fault he sucks.. I'm sure he is trying his best as he knows his career is on the line... No real point in cutting him if we just have to replace him with someone thats just as bad or worse

I had aspirations for him among others, to come out and make the most of their minutes off the bench and hopefully knock some shots down consistently. Adam doesn't look to have any hope left. I think his confidence really did die in Charlotte.

Just too high of a pick which leads to obvious expectations. Not really his fault, but it happens.

You can at least hustle and go all out with no confidence, the dude is done.

Adam just waits for another part of that over price pay check to come in. I bet he smiles when he sees the check. Dude has a face that looks like he is on something. He needs to loose that facial hair. Makes him look like he just spent some of his money in the hood for some illegal stuff.

Don't forget he's sickly as well. That's not an excuse but from the time I say his interview when he was traded over here he seemed very disinterested. S.B. was the one fired up & boy what a diamond in the rough he turned out to be! Hey now that I think about it, I remember when dcash didn't like him!

Lets use ammo to acquire a PG near the deadline or let his ass expire and we will get a PG w/ the mid level next season.

WIN WIN

I wouldn't say he's done. He is definately done with the Lakers though. A few crappy minutes per game isn't going to change him entirely, some players need rythym, perhaps he can find another job on another team that will give him more playing time. A feel bad for the guy sometimes.

Honestly, it so hard for me to believe he actually led the country in scoring with 28.1 during his Gonzaga days, that a few times now I've gone back and looked up game footage to see if its really the same guy.

patience is what jax would say. develop him more within this offense and take the wait and see tactic. heck, weve waited around for luke, jax will do the same with this guy.

Morrison drunk and with a hand tied to his back is ten times the player Vujabitch is, but his confidence seems to be below zero.

We should try to package and get Okfer. Morrison and something. Why let him go to the Kings. One extra player might make this a team of the ages. Maybe Josh Powell also. The Hornets are looking for expering contracts.

Lakers seem to get Michael Jordan's trash picks. Kwame Brown and then Morrison. Haha. He doesn't seem to be of any value to the Lakers. Drop him.
