No matter what you think of him....Give the man some credit for what he has done on that court..Do not kick him when he's down.

He's got skill but he's retiring for the same reason he never got a title and the same reason no one wants him. It's a team sport and he refuses to do what's best for the team.

Credit where credit is due: he had/has alot of individual skill and could score like few others ever. He made you forget his size with his hops, and he was a good quote for the media.

but lets not sugar coat his career. He got to the finals vs LA because he was young enough to sort of work with Larry Browns system. After that he never won anything of importance because he was just plain bad at a team sport in everything beyond personal accolade. He's an example of what not to do for all aspiring young players.

He could be just the right guy for any contender's 2nd unit but I'm not sure he's hanging up his boots yet. He'll play soon if not this season.

damn. I wanted him to go to Celtics and ruin their team chemistry. I was hoping Celtics would self destruct with Iverson and Wallace being key to that.

Oh well...

The knicks turned him down.....this is like getting turned down by the ugliest and fattest girl at the bar and then announcing to everyone that you're gay.

People hate him, but he still can do things very few can do. I guess he got all the money he needs and at 34. He wants to live the life of ease.

People hate him?

People love him, he's the guy all the little ballers wanted to be. No one rocked the tight corn rows like AI. He had the style, and the heart. He was a true tough street kid growing up in the NBA, without the fake toughness guys like 50 cent has (other than him getting shot he's as tough as his posse is deep) He only had the single baddest press conference ever....Practice, we talking about practice, c'mon man practice, really man...AI was a great competitior, maybe not the best teamate, but he gave it 100% in the game. AI was great for the game, maybe all the not practicing and not doing his body right, mixed with age caught up to him. Give me another little man in your fan lifetime that was a better competitor that would lay it on the line for a victory. AI was great for the game, end to end there was nobody faster and quicker, and took it up and challenged the trees at his size like no lil man I've ever seen.

Iverson was a great player. He had heart and give everything to the game.
But then he was the MAN. Know , well not so mutch.
His ego is so big that he cant be a great 6 man one a championship team.
I think he would like to score more then 25+pts a game one a bad team
Then have like 15-20 pts one a team that wins a ring.
I want to reamber him the player how took a bad 76ers team to the finals 2001(and Iverson whon game one all by him self). But i hate his playing days in Detroit and Denver

He will be back. Probably when a push for the playoffs from an unsuspecting team becomes imminent.

I just can't see a guy that's what, 32? With that talent, hanging it up. He's too stubborn to change his ways and it won't matter. Someone will be desperate enough to cave into his demands and sign him to start.
