Shannon Brown in the Slam Dunk Contest?!

This has to get done, his leaping abilities are insane, plus isn't this the year Lebron said he would be competing? But for some reason I think Lebron would win regardless even if he had the most boring power dunk.

that would be awesome

man, shannon probably has one of the best hops in the nba, and he has big hands; he can palm the ball so easy. the scary thing is, I heard he has not lift weights in his entire career, imagine if he really focus on conditioning his body; his vert would probably be more higher.

His hangtime is sick and if he can get something creative going he could match the best dunkers. However as a fan I wouldn't want him risking his legs with risky dunks and he could get robbed since LBJ is in the contest and it'd take something special for the judges to not vote for him.

That would be so cool! You know he's wants to make his mark too! He loves the attention. I remember when he had some monster dunk this year they told him right after the game they had it on you tube at halftime, he was so pumped on that. I can see where he'd really go for it.

I doubt the judges will be so keen to overrate LeBron's dunks so much. David Stern won't be in the judges.

Wouldn't be surprised.

Shannon and LeBron were the standouts in their HS All American Dunk Contest. If I remember correctly, I thought Shannon was the better dunker. LeBron was just the hype machine with normal dunks, who jumped abnormally high.

Shannon won't win this one either, but he deserves recognition by those outside of the Lakers fanbase.

Here's video of the Final Round. Shannon first, LeBron 3rd. They didn't show the final scores, but I believe Shannon was 2nd.

Be cool to see him in the dunk contest. With L. james in it. He is the winner. All the wanna be fans just want to see him dunk. The NBA will be pushing him to win to help the NBA get a big pop and to use him in future ads to show case the NBA, so Shannon why waste the effort. We would love to see you there, but the fix is in. James will be getting all 10's as he is one of the greats and should get whatever he earns on any dunks. His pass dunks give him the title just to please the little kids out there.

i thought the crowd booed when they announced lebron as the winner, but lebron being the gracious winner he was that day, shared the honours with shannon brown?
