He's been waived by the Thunder, should the Lakers give him a shot at our lacking PG position?

his value is cheap right now, I would give him a chance.

If he can guard SFs and SGs, I'd sign him as a backup swingman who can also handle the ball (but can't shoot a lick) ... I think he can only guard about 60 percent of the PGs in the league.

@ the start of the season, I'd say yes. But he didn't give the Thunder much:

10 Games
13 MPG
1 PPG
1.3 APG
2.0 RPG

I think there's better options out there at the PG spot. (See: Nate Robinson)

there's a reason why even teams that are rebuilding don't have him stick around. he's been done for yrs.

Agreed, cash. He couldn't cut it in Miami (then going through a 15-win season), couldn't cut it in OKC, and won't cut it anywhere else. The dream is over for Mr. Livingston, I presume?

Yeah, it is. We need players that are completely healthy.

Livingston is a steal and here is why

1) Look at how athletic D-Fish compared to many other NBA PGs. This offense runs on intelligence and Livingston is a very intelligent player. He also is very determined as he has shown in his work outs over coming the injury.
2) Livingston has gone to young teams where athleticism is what makes the offense go, not brains. Livingston is a tall player who has a knack for passing the ball. Sounds like PJs type of PG.
3) Livingston would feel comfortable in LA.

Livingston is not a bad gamble for 300k when we pay Ammo & Sasha 11 mil and Buss knows how to gamble with the best of them.

Thank you brotha.

The only thing I would add is ... he has to, at the very least, be able to defend the SG/SF spots. If he can, he is, at the very least, a VERY CHEAP upgrade over Puke and Vujachick.

Also, just to reiterate, he is an intangible player right now, in the same mold as Walton. If he can't defend better than Walton or Sasha then he isn't worth signing.

I don't know where he is at defensively (not on PGs but on the wing ... we should not expect him to guard PGs exclusively).

From what I hear and know he's still "haunted" by the injury and no he's not going to be an NBA player after not cutting it on a Heat team with a rookie PG and a 15 win season.

the guy can D up pretty well. I say he can guard alot of shooting guards fairly well. Better than Sasha at the very least. I watch almost every Thunder and Laker game and I think he is worth a shot.

He really didnt get much PT in Oklahoma City, but I think he would fit in well with the Lakers honestly. He knows how to run the offense and can post up smaller players. Hits a 15 footer fairly well too.
