just waived by the Nets. good blocker, very athletic. maybe give him a couple of ten day contracts to see what he can do for us? if he does any good (or better than J-Peezy) send Powell to some other team with one of our(knicks/grizzlies) 2nd round picks for a teams high 1st round pick just so save some money.

I seem to remember on the Nets board them saying he wasn't exactly Ivy League material. Doubt in 10 days he'd be able to remember anything learned in the Tri or even how to get to Staples off the 110.

I've always loved the idea of Williams as a Laker. He wouldn't need to score, but he would erase a lot of mistakes defensively. While I agree with you that he isn't the brightest crayon in the box, I'd also like to remind you that we had Vladimir freakin Radmonovic once...

Pass. if he was so great. He would have been better than 3 points a game career scorer.

Always liked him and felt he had a bad rep that followed him from his college days but he sure is a head case and if he couldn't crack the rotation over Josh Boone, keep him away from LA.

He couldnt get pt on the 3-34 Nets, so maybe he will be a good fit on the World Champion Lakers.
