Should Ron shed some weight?

With Ron looking about as quick and mobile as Rick Fox circa 03-04, do you guys think Ron should shed some of that weight?
I was looking back on the pistons-pacers brawl on youtube and couldn't help but notice how much leaner he looked. (

Now, I'm no expert or anything, but I think it can prove beneficial to his game. He reportedly has plantar fasciitis in both feet, an injury Kobe suffered in 04-05 (probably due to bulking up that year). I think him slimming down would not only help his game but also help prevent knee/leg/feet injuries as well. I mean, he'd still be big compared to the regular NBA SF, but I think Ron can afford to shed some pounds. What do you guys think?

Yeah.. 10-15 pounds would be good. He's built like a brick s**thouse right now and it's really affecting his lateral quickness.

we knew it when he was signed and did all his workout videos saying he was bulking up. He needs to learn from Shaq, get leaner, get his lateral movement back to go with those fast hands, and get some hops again, of which he has none right now.

He has plantar fasciitis in both feet. Could be slowing him down. But yeah he does wobble when he runs

He's our x-factor in the starting line-up. We don't need him to score lots of points, all he needs to do is to get back to his form and play solid defense, which is a lot more valuable in the playoffs.
We still expect to see Ron Artest playing solid basketball. Will we see that ?
Whatever happens, I'll blame Artest because he said he's gonna be responsible if the Lakers fail to defend the title.

Yes, he looks like he's running in sand half the time, never seen a guy slower.

the guy has strength and a solid post up game. he can go inside, something ariza could not do. the whole difficulty is not the LAKERs or ronrons difficulty as we all know, its all on ariza and his agent. And for that, im behind ron artest all the way. Because ron told his agent SIGN IMMEDIATELY. while ariza like an ass didnt. thats a slap on our face for giving him the best deal and then him spittin that deal right in our faces. afterall, he got the same thing with houston.
So im all in with ronron and totally support a guy who wants to be here. and I believe if given time, he will play a key role in getting a back to back title. he needs to figure out his space and time in this offense, and its going to take more than a half a year. i think as we get closer to playoff time, he will be dialed in and the team will have figure it out.

Artest looked noticibly quicker last game vs. Philly. He has commented that the Laker trainers have helped him with the pain he was feeling in his feet, and that for the first time in 2 years, his feet are feeling good. I noticed right away that his quickness was MUCH improved.
