Jordan Farmar has been impressing me the last couple of games.

Here are some of his stats for the past couple of games:

Bobcats: FGM/A : 3/9, Points: 9 , Rebounds: 4 , Steals: 1 , Assists: 3 , 25min

Nuggets: FGM/A : 3/7, Points: 6 , Rebounds: 3 , Steals: 1 , Assists: 2 , 16min

Blazers: FGM/A : 5/9, Points: 12 , Rebounds: 2 , Steals: 2 , Assists: 2 , 18min

Spurs: FGM/A : 5/7, Points: 13 , Rebounds: 2 , Steals: 0 , Assists: 1 , 22min



At the start of the season I was really disappointed on how he was playing and wanted him to be traded, but now after watching him the past month it seems as though he has stepped it up before the trade deadline. What do you guys think about Jordan Farmar lately? Do you want him traded? Is he ready to become a starting PG for the Lakers?

I always liked him and I would like him to stay as well. I love seeing Brown and Farmar playing together with the secon unit. His play as of late has been outstanding and I want him to keep up the good work.

Until we find a replacement for Fisher (and a starter) Farmar is very valuable. I like the way he's played recently also. I liked Fisher/Farmar on the floor last night at the same time.

He needs to improve his court vision though he likes to score a lot and looks to get his own but he is young he can still improve on that

Even Alexa was 2 for 2 from the three, the former outcasts are impressing us for sure.

I agree that's one of jfars biggest negatives from what I see he doesn't see the floor well, or it's bad decision making, or both.

yep, he is on pace to hit that post All Star game rookie wall as he does every year. :yawns:

We've seen this before. Until he does this for months, instead of games, he won't have proven anything.

Like everyone else I'd wait to see him do this till the end of the playoffs before rating him but off late he has shown the gift of speed, which cannot be taught. If Phil is going to retire by this season's end and we go back to a system other than the triangle it makes every sense to extend him.

throw the bum out. He's a chemistry problem waiting to happen and he Vujacic'ing us right now for a contract. I could give a damn if he averages 20pts and 10 assists all year, I'm totally done with him and anything lest than trading him will piss me off. The only really good thing I can say about him is he's raising his trade value, so someone should be interested in Ammo and Jordan.

Harris, Hinrich...anyone but dumbo and his act.

That could be a possibility if Harris continues to be somewhat hurt. Farmar+Morrison+1st+2nd. His salary is not out of tune with what we'll have to pay for 2 PGs during the off-season. The overall upgrade would probably justify the deal. His 3 point shot isn't great but neither is Farmar's and for that matter Fisher's. There's more to the triangle than the 3 ball. Harris with an improved 3 shot around 36% would be an incredible player capable of playing like a SG at triangle PG, facilitating, running the open court, able to execute in both sets.

farmar's leaving

what hes giving us, we're not going to be able to give him:
1. the PT
2. the money
3. the ball

i can see the knicks swooping in for farmar and offering an offer of all 3 points we just cant match

so either we try very hard to trade him, or we keep him for another championship run because we need his speed

PT will be there next year. The ball is something he gets when he plays. The money depends. I'm not sure what his value is right now. Perhaps 3 million.

There are no real PG's out there that we can get that are as good as JF. There is no Rondo on the market. So keep him and hope we do not have to give him 5 million a year to keep.

I put him in the same category as Sasha and Luke

Playing a lot better in a contract year and Mitch was very responsible last year so I'm worried
