I hope Kobe sits. I see Drew is (what's up with that)? I'd like to see these guys play with the same heart & hustle & get the win up there also. I'd go into the All Star Weekend with a smile! :D

Could Fish pull it off against Brewer if Brown switches onto Deron Williams? A difficult match-up through and through. It'll take something impressive to beat Utah in Utah especially with Millsapp off the bench. Can Artest guard Boozer?

Jazz fans are talking big trash, one on their board even went as far to say that the Nuggets and Jazz are the two best teams in the Western Conference because the Pacific Division is so "weak".

What kind of (Please Use More Appropriate Word) assessment is that ? So now we're using Divisions to tell the strength of teams now ?

People are kinda losing a sense of reality, of our 13 losses 4 have been on the second of a back to back after facing a playoff quality opponent in the first game. Not saying that's an excuse but when you arrive in those cities later than you normally would, it's pretty much an up hill battle.

I don't understand how guys can come to thinking the Jazz are better than the Lakers when the last 2 playoffs have proved otherwise.

Hopefully Kobe sits this one out as well. The Jazz are a really good home team and hammered us the last time we were there, so the chances of winning with Kobe playing on a gimpy ankle are pretty low. He might as well just let the thing heal up and come back against Boston at this point. There is no reason for him to play in this game outside of him being hard-headed and annoying.

+1 on the Kobe sits bandwagon. Just sit him down and give him a full week with no basketball to gear up for the second half. No way we catch Cleveland for home court, so we need to be smart and manage ourselves for the playoffs.

I am sure that there are some idiotic Jazz fans spewing overhyped BS, but that doesn't in any way represent the feelings of rational Jazz/basketball fans. The Jazz is playing very well right now. They're definitely on a hot streak that deserves notice, but to say that they and Denver are superior to your Lakers is ridiculous and laughable. They're playing as well as anyone else right now and aren't to be overlooked. Whether or not Kobe sits, i honestly see a Jazz win. Kobe and the lakers would be better to let him get back to as close to 100% as possible.

Yes, I am on the Kobe sit band wagon. ( and ASG) it would give him great rest for the last push for the season. I am not sure what is up with Bynum's broken vag though.

Utah is always a tough place to play and boozer can/will give us fits in the post.

I wouldn't go as far as to say no way, we're only 2 games back. Sure we lost the season matchup, but last we won it and still didn't get homecourt. Cleveland has yet to face any real adversity yet, sure the injury bug has hit them of late, but having a soft schedule recently has really helped them weather the storm. There next few games are tough and should be very telling if we have a chance to catch them or not.

As for Kobe, he knows his own body well enough, I trust in him to make the right choice.

Add in Tyler to that.

I think if someone is nicked up right now, sit. There's almost a week until we have to play a game. Bynum has some knee soreness and some hip problems, no reason for him to get out there and risk it. Let Pau get into a groove and Bynum will slide right back into the line-up and produce again.

I agree and disagree. If it was a vet and was run down, I would say sit when you can. However, Drew is young and still needs to get the burn, experience and consistency going.

If it is just a case of " my hip is sore" then I think he is being a pussy and needs to get out there and play through it. Learn to play consistently with nagging injuries like a lot of players do. ( this also helps them in playoff type games) If it's a case that his hip is hurt and he shouldnt play because he might injure it long-term then sit. It seems more like the former to me.

He is still young and still needs to earn his stripes IMO.

Man Sedale you're a very truculent guy. You do realize Cleveland still have a total of 6 games left to play against Boston and Orlando right ? It's way too early to say the Lakers won't get home court yet. By your estimation the Cavs will never lose again, sorry but I'm don't buy it. Like KB8MVP said the Cavs have yet to face any adversity.

Bottom line is I think they've peaked way way too soon, I like my chances of them losing 2 more times between those 6 games they have with Boston and Orlando.

In fact I know they'll lose again, question is do the Lakers take advantage ?

I thought their schedule was more lopsided in terms of home games. Regardless, I don't think home court should be our priority. I would usually never concede that; I was really disappointed we didn't get it the past two years, and I think it might have cost us a ring in 08.

This year, though, with Kobe dealing with three separate injuries, I think long-term health should be our biggest concern. And I don't trust him much at all in that regard. He has way too much pride -- his biggest weakness as much as his biggest strength. If he can walk, I don't think he's ever going to voluntarily sit, so somebody needs to be the voice of reason.

Kobe is curled up like a dog on the training table in locker room, hood on head and socks on feet. Surely not playing.

As expected for tonight, Odom is in, Bynum is out. On Bryant, Jackson said he does not expect him to play.

Funny how you always deflect to Gasol whenever someone talks negatively about Bynum. I don't think anyone is defending Gasol at the way he's playing lately.
