Farmar good as gone

Post#1 » by MikeyMike » Wed Feb 10, 2010 11:09 pm

I have an extremely credible source whom is personally friends with J Farmar. Apparently, Jordan hinted to his friend that he is as good as gone by the deadline and expects to be traded soon.

He's simply not suited to the triangle and would be happier on a team where he can utilize his skills more freely, perhaps a team like the Knicks.

I would love to trade him for Nate Robinson. I think Robinson would work wonders in the triangle, he can also play solid defense when motivated. He's fast and extremely strong.

I guess we'll have to wait for the trade deadline and see.

i kinds like farmar and would have mixed feelings about seeing him go.
Only on realgm is 27,000 points, 5 rings, 1 rs mvp and 2 finals mvp considered overrated!

I believe our refusal to extend him this past offseason was all the proof we needed that he wasn't long for LA. He's done a good job of raising his value, and I thank him for that, but he is bad fit and I still don't think he passes worth a damn or plays good D.

Yeah, I respect the guy for raising his game in the contract year to raise his value. That's been a huge help to get some draw for him. Thank god teams probably won't remember what he was doing in the playoffs for each last season. at least I hope not.

Contenders dont usually just dump salary

Its go for broke time for the Lakers this year. Farmar may be the Sam Cassell of this generation and win a few rings off the bench
Lakers are 22-3 in OT last 6 seasons:Kobe best OT closer!

^I don't think we'd trade Farmar to dump salary...when it's abundantly obvious we have PG issues.

Harris or Hinrich would be sweet. *waits for the old salary discussion on Hinrich*

There are no guarantees in life and he might not end up getting traded. But I can guarantee you my source is extremely credible. I'm not friends with Farmar but we do have mutual friends. I went to middle school and high school with the guy.

Exactly. Especially since Farmar has been straight up BALLIN the past few weeks! If any guard gets traded, it's Vujacic. I don't see any teams just handing us their young, up-and-coming PG's so our best bet is to hang on to Farmar, IMO.

One thing that does make sense is the Lakers have made it clear they are not going to extend him, and let him become a free agent. So if they are going to get any value for him, the trade deadline is going to be the time to do it. This will also allow someone to come in and learn the system.

But we can't let Farmar go without getting and upgrade for him, He is valuable to us now, as we are weak at PG>

It would be stupid to break up this Brown/Farmar line up right now, they are playing extremely well.
