the clippers dump like 5.5 mil from next yrs salary by getting rid of thornton and telfair. the clips are going to have huge cap space.

yeah, that i get...but their ability to attract quality free agents has always hampered them and Al was held in high regard...seems like they've finally given up on him.

thornton was a no defense playing chucker. he sucks.

I agree Al is overrated, but there's no arguing he was held in very high regard w/in the Clips organization until just recently. Seems like a risky move to gamble on being able to lure a free agent to the Clips. None of the Lebrons/Wades would ever, IMO, consider playing for LA's other team. Guess we'll see.

Just saw Skinner in it too.

That gives them enough TPE for Gooden.

remember that the clips just got outlaw, basically the same player as thornton.

and really i don't think the clips have much to lose by going for it.

yeah, i hear ya. i'd actually take outlaw over Al, so there wasn't any need for Al after that acquisition. i guess its just crazy to see such a young first rounder dumped for cap relief so early on in his career...but i guess nothing Sterling does should surprise me. even if they can't get a top free agent they have Griffin coming back healthy, hopefully, and Sterling gets to save a good amount of cash.

W/t/t to Cavs, they made it clear with the Shaq acquisition that they were building a team for the sole purpose of beating the Magic. This trade only reaffirms this. IMO they believe the only team standing b/w them and the Chip is the Magic. I still don't think they'll make it out of the East, but if they do, I can't wait to crush them.

Im a hardcore laker fan, but you CANT be serious with that "i cant wait to crush them" BS... have you watched the cavs play this year? they just picked up jamison, shaq is playing like hes 30, lebrons an animal, Be REAL, were (Lakers) arnt going to "CRUSH" the cavs...we might beat them, but theres now way were going to "CRUSH" them, be real were from L.A. but get out of LA LA LAND

So are you disagreeing with what I said in the portion that you quoted? Shaq was added to defend Dwight and its no secret the Cavs were targeting a stretch 4 to equalize Lewis who absolutely torched the Cavs in the playoffs.
