Don't **** yourself. This has nothing to do with your 2010 Lakers.
...I am trying to settle a bet with a friend who claims that Popeye Jones was once on your team, and wore the #25. He says it was a short stint, but I cannot find any proof online that this ever happened.
You can only google search Popeye Jones for so long.

Your friend is correct. For some reason, basketball archives aren't very accurate, but he was indeed a Laker.

He could be mistaking him for Pig Miller.

so the real reason I asked this was to find out whether or not this jersey was really Popeye or Eddie Jones. The seller on ebay thought it was Popeye, and I am guessing that is why I got it from as cheap as I did ($20)...
I kind of wish it was really Popeye though...

Do you think the jersey would be worth anything? (more than $20 at least?)

Popeye was a very good rebounder for his size. He was also one of the less pretty ones out there. That said. In the end, he cashed some nice checked and is worth a few million more than I will ever see. Hats off to him for playing pro ball and getting nice big checks for a game I play for fun and free.

How COOL!!! You guys talking about my ALMA MATER SWEET on realgm no doubt!!! I guess this is my 15 seconds of fame huh. As a Laker Fan I must comment on my fellow Murray State Racer Mr. Jones doode was never a Laker. Unfortunately, he did some time with the evil empire. Here is some info.
http://www.basketball-reference.com/pla ... spo01.htmlO.T.> Murray State is currently a top Mid Major in the Polls so see you at the dance in March!
