Sell high.
- which means effed again. '04 knee. '08 knee. '09 knee. '10 elbow, then hip, then achilles.
Starting to add up.

Damn this is not the news i wanted to see when I came home. Why is it that every time the man is tearing teams into a new one he gets hurt. Notice nothing happens when he isn't that active and what not. Now it will take some time for him to get his hops back and all. Is it that maybe the more active and mobile he gets the more he becomes exposed to some sort of injury.

As a fan I almost feel guilty. Its like as soon as we talk the guy up about how well he is doing he seems to get hurt.

Keep him out until the start of the playoffs. That way he has almost 30 days to get right.

Damn it ! When he gets back, he'll be just like last year during the playoffs, a 5 ppg 4 rpg foul prone Center !

I hope this won't be the case. Man I really had my hopes up that these were going to be the Andrew Bynum playoffs. The spotlight was going to be on Drew and the stage was going to be set for Drew to go against either Dwight or Shaq. He will obviously lose some momentum but maybe he will be able to get it back fast enough.

guys, pray for the best, which IMHO is a return at ANY point this season.

achilles injuries take a long time to heal. add to that the fact that Drew seems to be a slow healer and we'd be lucky if he comes back this season. of course, we don't know the extent of the injury, but feeling a "pop" is never good.

where did you hear that he felt a "pop"? the only things posted so far say he just felt sharp pain for a few seconds.

5 at the most.......it's not that serious of an injury guys. No reason for us to over dramatize it to being more than it really is. Maybe this will help finish whippin Pau's ass into shape for the playoffs.

I sure hope you know something we don't. All I know is what I've read and it doesn't sound good to me.

Again, I'm an optimist but a realist. Achilles injuries are nothing to take lightly.

Deep, mentally do you think he will be able to pick up where he left off or will he have to start over with his growing process?

An MRI showed no rupture in Andrew Bynum's left Achilles' tendon and he will be re-evaluated in one week.

This is great news for the Lakers, though it still leaves fantasy owners in a bind.

To be re-evaluated next week

EL SEGUNDO, Calif. -- Andrew Bynum saw a foot specialist Saturday and after being examined, a MRI confirmed the center has a strained left Achilles' tendon.

There is no tear of the tendon. Bynum will be re-evaluated in a week.

"These are the type of things that look like they're going to take some time," Lakers coach Phil Jackson said. "We're just hoping that the time is not extended."

Bynum could not walk on the foot when he woke up Saturday morning without the assistance of a boot, according to Jackson.

Jackson lauded Bynum's positive outlook despite having to deal with yet another injury after having both of his last two seasons derailed by knee injuries.

"It wasn't that bad," Jackson said. "He's a very optimistic young man."

Lakers sixth man Lamar Odom will step into the starting lineup in Bynum's absence, but Odom is dealing with an injury of his own.

Odom has been playing with an aggravated left shoulder that he first injured XX games ago when going up for a dunk against Boston's Ray Allen.
