Game News

This will be the second time in the last 12 days that these two teams meet. The Lakers are 6-4 against the Spurs in their last 10 overall games. The Lakers, however, have won their last four straight home games against the Spurs.

The Spurs are coming off a 112-100 win over the Orlando Magic on Friday in San Antonio, Manu Ginobili scored 43 points in the win.

Game Analysis

The Lakers rank number 1 in the league in rebounding, keeping the Spurs off the boards is always the key to beating them since they lack the depth on the front line. The Lakers also rank 1st in defensive 3pt field goal percentage, giving up only .325 to it's opponents per game. The Spurs will try to stretch the Lakers defense by shooting the 3 in hopes of opening up the floor for Duncan and Ginobili.

L.O. against Mcdyess is the key. Kobe must be motivated from his off night.

Artest should shut Ginobili down.

Awesome thread, DEEP. Coming off a crumby shooting performance for Mamba, I expect that to change. The dollar signs must have blurred his vision last night. Anyone catch Argentina dropping 43, btw? Dios mio. We need to check his ass if he gets going like that, I highly doubt it though.

Lord, I cannot wait for the playoffs already. Lighting a fire under these bellies the last few games have been hard, but once the real game begins, it should be lights out. The road to another Larry O'brien trophy begins only then for these guys. The regular season has been fun but its coming to a close and it couldn't end sooner.

Couldn't have been said better. Get through this one & the rest healthy & let's begin the run for another title.

Gotta take care of our home court and take these clowns down. Gasol always plays great against Duncan, or at least neutralizes him, so I expect much of the same. Ginobili is always a tough cover, so we'll have to play solid team defense to contain him.

At this point every game is extremely important. We can't catch the Cavs, but we still have to maintain a 1 game lead over the Magic in the event that they make the Finals instead. They hold the tie-breaker, and since we are an average road team this year we can't afford to give any team that kind of advantage.

Win this game, then take care of business in Denver, and I'm willing to forget that pathetic road trip we recently had. Really, there is absolutely no reason that we shouldn't win every single game from here on out. We need some kind of momentum going into the playoffs.

Any news on Bynum? I know Walton is supposed to suit up, but we really do need to get Bynum some good playing time before the post-season starts.

How does Orlando hold the tie breaker? We are both tied up 1 to 1 in the season series.

Can anyone answer why our team is 1st in 3 point defense when we leave shooters out in the open? They must have been so shellshocked at the open looks they lose focus.

HEY! Anyone scouting this CAVS at CELTICS game? LeBron is getting no love from C's defense... Lakers coaching staff should take notes.
