what could it take for the leafs to land tavares

ite i expect it to involve schenn but iv come wid an idea that may not have to involve him!

to the leafs: john tavares,rick dipetro

to the isles: leafs pick, 3 second rounders ilses get to dump the next 13 years off dipetrios riduclous contract and get a great handful of prospects

Would take a helluva lot more than that, dude.

Most rumors have Burke trading up to 2nd with Schenn, the Leafs' pick, Kubina, then moving the 2nd pick with Kaberle and a future pick for the rights to Tavares.

I wouldn't do it either, but it probably would take all that to get the 2nd pick and then the first pick.

Personally, I'd love to see the Leafs do it. Tavares would be awesome to watch in a Leafs jersey, especially when it'll bring them to another 40+ years without a Cup.
