Oilers win Draft Lottery

Post#1 » by Celtics_Champs » Wed Apr 14, 2010 12:24 am

1. Edmonton
2. Boston (Via Tor)
3. Florida
4. Columbus
5. New York Islanders

Whoooo, I'm glad, bruins get number 2. Phew I was having flashbacks to when the celtics got screwed over in the lottery.

Taylor Hall or Tyler Seguin, who goes 1 and 2?

Hall for sure goes 1st. Edmonton's gonna be a lot of fun in a few years with Hall and Eberle together. Still have a feeling management is gonna **** it up though.

We want Hall #1 lets just hope Lowe/Dumbellini doesn't screw this up for us.

That Phil Kessel trade is looking worse and worse for the Leafs.

It hurt Boston a ton this year, but this will make up for it in the future and definitely next year too. Now they just need to unload Ryder and Wideman and move Krejci before the rest of the league figures out how overrated he is and they'll be set with good contracts moving forward (minus Savard).

****ing Leafs, though. And remember at the beginning of the season when _venom_ was saying that Toronto would finish with a better record than Montreal? :D

The fact that they can move the pick for something more immediate is what scares me more.

It might have hurt there regular season record but here they are in the 2nd round of the playoffs and Vegas has them as the favorite over Philly. Im sure if you asked Bruins management they would be more then happy with how the season has now unfolded. They make the playoffs, win a round, have a good chance to win round two and go to the conference finals and get a top 2 pick in the process.

I dont agree at all with Krejci being overrated. If you look at what he did after he recovered from injury this season, he was one of the best point producers in the last 35-40 games. I think he put up like 30pts in his last 35 games or something. This is coming off a season where he had 70+ points and add in he's responsible in all zones and he's only getting paid 3.75 million for the next 2 seasons you could actually say he's one of the best contracts in the NHL.

The Leafs seem to love the Bruins. We gave them Rask for free, and now they'll get two top-3 picks from us.
