Philly picked up the aging Modry from the Kings:

The Philadelphia Flyers have acquired defenceman Jaroslav Modry from the Los Angeles Kings in exchange for a third-round draft pick in 2008.

With Hatcher being out for 6 weeks, they needed someone.

Mats Sundin - Anaheim I heard a rumor that they might move him for Francois Beauchemin contract fillers and maybe Edmonton's pick

Marian Hossa - Detroit we are looking to win it all this year and don't care about selling prospects for talent. Look at what we gave up for a rental on Bertuzzi.

Olli Jokinen - Stays with Flordia but I could see the Canucks making a serious push for him word is that the Sedin's and Naslund would love to have him in their fold.

Alex Tanguay - Calgary I doubt they move him or I doubt you would get many takers.

Rob Blake - I would say Detroit now that Lidstrom is hurt but I keep hearing Anaheim is the front runner for him as they want to make a serious push.

Vaclav Prospal - See him in Colorado something tells me they are going to be in the hunt now that Forsberg is no longer going to play in the NHL this year and when they missed both Sakic and Smyth to injuries they didn't look all that great.

Pavel Kubina - Toronto nobody is touching that contract unless you get a worse player with the same kind of deal.

Brian Campbell - Resigns with the Sabers now way would they let him go unless a team seriously overpays.

Its not a case of the Sabres being interested or not in resigning him its a case of Campbell possibly not wanting to resign in Buffalo. After losing both Drury and Briere last summer I dont think they will risk keeping another pending UFA to see if they can sign him in the summer once he hits free agency.

Well the deal is pretty much done. timid1218 posted a link and it said that the 2 sides had agreed to a deal in theory. Campbell means alot to the Sabers and unless they feel that they have 0 chance of him returning next year then maybe he will be traded. I don't see them trading within their division unless they get talent in return.

I don't think Campbell doesn't want to re-sign with the Sabres. He never said he didn't want to. I think he stopped negotating because the team wasn't playing good and he wanted to concentrate on the team. Losing Drury and Briere, in the end, might be a good thing. Buffalo has a lot of good young talent that will need to be re-signed in the next few seasons. With Briere and Drury each making 7 million a season, some of those players could possibly not be signed.

And besides, it's not like Buffalo has a bad team. Their currently tied 8th in the standings.

Looks like the Bruins are leading the sweepstakes for Hossa. Then again eklund has been wrong before...

They also had it here on the radio though, Dale Arnold said the rumored deal was Kessel, Schaefer, and 2 firsts.

Is Boston under the cap? I am not sure but I don't think that will work. Have to recheck the salaries I think Kessel makes $850,000 and Schaefer makes $1.8 million add those two up and it's $2.65 million Hossa is making $5 million this year so the Bruins better have cap space.

^Boston would be under the cap, because manny fernandez is on season ending IR. I am bad with numbers, so I dont know how that works, but I heard something about, if jeremy jabobs is willing to pay manny's 4.4 then it doesnt count against the cap, or something along those lines.

Dont matter though, Chiarelli just came out and said that Kessel isnt going anywhere.
