I don't mind the hit at all, and think goalies should be fair game. That said, they aren't, as Crowned stated there is both a written (player has to attempt to get out of the way) and unwritten rule against this. As Ruff stated, I am curious as to how this will continue throughout the league now that Shanahan set the precedent that players won't be suspended for levelling goalies.

Really a nice touch of class for Mark Howe to put on Gordie Howes #9 Red Wing jersey at last nights HoF ceremony.

Giroux is looking like a legit Rocket trophy contender the guy is putting up great numbers IMHO might just be the best Flyer player this year.

Hope the Wings can keep it going and get another win tonight the new look Blues should be a good task for us after all Ken Hitchcock knows our team and is a good coach should be a good game both Howard and Brian Elliott have stellar under 2.00 GAA thus far just wish this one was one TV tonight

Suspension for Chris Stewart? I am a big fan of this guy so it isnt Wing-fandom. That was filthy. No doubting that he shoving him right in the back right into the boards.

Around the NHL

Columbus called chia and asked about Rask, chia reportedly said no.

He was on a radio show this morning and they asked him about the rask for Nash rumors and he said he doesn't comment on rumors.

That shall be a fun one to listen to this season.

Are you talking about the Kronwall hit? Yeah it was cheap. Great to see Kronwall come back in the game though. Tough loss for the Wings last night, The Blues have been playing some great hockey under Hitchcock I must admit.

I think 2 games is fair for what he did

Ya 2 or 3 games should be fair. He's meeting with Shanahan today so we should find out by the end of the day.

Yup, appropriate amount. No serious injury, no prior history of being dirty.

Wow do the Canes look terrible tonight. Montreal is just dominating the puck, if it wasn't for Ward this game would be 6-0.

I'm ok with it, though Kronwall could have been really hurt on the play

Absolutely. I did the same thing back in 2001 at the OFSAA finals when I was slew-footed. If my neck wasn't turned I was probably paralyzed; because I did turn it, I "only" had a pinched nerve and slipped disc.

Wow The Panthers are starting to look like a decent NHL team. I don't get them they had loads of talent say 4+ years ago sucked the big one. Now they get role players like Kris Verstegg and are playing out of their minds and slaughtered a very good Dallas team at home to boot.

Glad to see Stewart get something 3 games is right for the hit any more would have been overkill. Should be a good battle for us tonight vs The Sharks we need this win

The Panthers were either gonna be really fun or really bad. So far they've been really fun. I thought they'd be okay this year, but I thought it'd take them some time to develop as a group. Instead they've flown out of the gates. Impressive stuff.

I never got boners during hockey games until they introduced the FS North girls. It doesn't even bother me that they wear Gopher and Vikings clothes. Actually I shouldn't say that, it does because they shouldn't be wearing clothes at all.

Yes them. I have no idea what they know. I've only seen them on commercials. I'm guessing they're just eye candy and that's okay with me.
