Danica Patrick and winner should not be mentioned in back to back posts.

Suck on Danica Patrick? Sure, that can be arranged.

I don't know who the most famous from my high school is.

It's a toss-up between 6th round pick of the Carolina Panthers, Nick Hayden or MMA fighter and former NCAA wrestling champion and 2008 Olympian Ben Askren.

Never went to school with him, but Josh Gorges dated my cousin Jessica in Kelowna during their late high school days. So that's kinda cool, though I wish it would have lasted lol.

Scott Hamilton also attended my school for a brief period of time.

Him and Ryan were gold no matter what they had to do. I always found them way funnier than Wayne.

Wayne was never funny. Brad Sherwood and Greg Proops were pretty good.

Holy ish. Some serious Boston rumors in the last few hours that are supposedly really close to going down.

Savard & Wheeler & 15th to Columbus for 4th overall.
And Boston is supposedly really close to landing Nathan Horton, which I pray doesn't happen. :(

Also, Philly landed Dan Hamhuis' rights for Ryan Parent. Flyers need to move out some serious salary because they're just adding another D-Man whose going to command huge salary.

Arnott back to New jersey - I actually love this move for the Devils.

According to Bob MacKenzie, the floodgates might be at the point of busting.

Personally, I think that would be a really damn good deal for the Blue Jackets.

Savy move for NJ. For Nashville, not so much. Never a great idea trading your captain.

Yeah Wheeler is solid and Savard has some years left...him to Nash could be sick.

But jesus Boston could have 2 and 4 in the draft..thats kind of scary

It would be a ridiculous deal for both teams, in my opinion. I'm not that big on Wheeler but Savard and Nash on the same line would be ridiculous to watch.

Boston would also have 2 & 4 in the draft while talking to Florida about getting Horton and 3rd and Edmonton about 1st. Definitely the most busy team in the NHL so far, from what the rumors are saying.

^But if they end up staying at 4, I just can't see the player they get justifying dealing Savard AND Wheeler AND a pick just 11 spots down. Wheeler is also a factor in that trade, I mean he's just 23 years old (24 in August) and easily provides great physical play and a nice goalscoring touch. I do find Fowler/Gudbranson/Connolly impressive, but that's an extremely heavy price to pay. If they plan to use that pick and do something with it then perhaps it a little bit of a different situation, let's see how this develops.

If Boston were to pull off that deal for #4 i'm sure my Oilers would be willing to deal #1 and whatever else for pick #2 and #4. That would give us one of Hall or Segin and one of Fowler or Gudbranson, preferably Gudbranson.

Personally, I think Boston's trying to land both Hall and Seguin.

That would be utterly ridiculous if they ever managed that.

Yeah it would be, and it's not totally out of the question either. Right now they're talking to Florida about Nathan Horton + 3rd and Columbus about 4th. If they dump their long term, bigger contracts like Savard, then package 3rd and 4th with even a prospect or something, I can't see Edmonton turning that down.

Draft is going to be fun, regardless.

Sounds like that's a pretty good read, or they really want the one that Edmonton's likely to take (I'd presume Hall):
