3 goals in 2 games for Nathan Horton...Whooo!

Looch is looking nice, and Seguin got his first of his career.

I'm still so mad that all it took was Dennis freakin' Wideman for you guys to land Horton. The guy is a stud; I was praying the Habs would make a serious push for either him or Patrick Sharp.

Taylor Hall got his first career point last night against the Panthers.

I can't believe i'm saying this but the Oilers are looking pretty decent right now. Penner's playing great, Horcoff is finally earning some of that 7 mill a year contract, and Ryan Whitney is looking like a stud D-man once again.

^^ Ok that cracked me up. Even better that Avery was on the receiving end (figuratively speaking of course)

This was one of many videos the Hawks showed before they raised the banner.

The last few years the Panthers have come so close but always stumbled down the stretch. They missed their shot and will be stuck at the bottom, at least this season.

I feel for ya. They were so close the last couple years and now they're back to rebuilding.

James Wisniewski is now one of my favorite players. The best part of all of this is that Bettman was at the game and he didn't even see it.

I don't know what's more sickening Avery bitching to the ref cause somebody caused him grief or that cheap shot on Jason Pomenville (sp) by Niklas Hjalmarsson he should have got more then 2 games I mean that was dirty and cheap I think 10-20 games is just for that. I hope Niklas Hjalmarsson gets whats coming to him

The hit was somewhat dirty, considering it may have been blindside, and it may have been before the puck got there, but it wasn't a head shot, which is what the new rules focus on. Pominville's head hit off the boards, which neither player really had control over. I think 2 games is a bit weak myself, as I thought 5 would be fair punishment.

Hjalmarsson was punished because Pominville couldn't see it coming and he fell awkwardly into the boards. It wasn't vicious, it wasn't a head shot. It was a tad early and it was out of Pominville's eyesight, he hit his head on the glass and got a concussion.

Not a cheap shot in the least.

Also, I thought the Wisniewski suspension was appropriate (no matter how great it was). Boynton got 1 game for a throat slashing gesture, so by comparison, it should at least be at that same level.

Man, the refs really ****ed the Habs over tonight. First a bogus call on Subban with 2 minutes left, and then they miss a trip on Boyd from Malone before the tying goal.

Gagne and Modano back in Philly and Dallas respectfully.
