Not too sure about the Caps trading their captain though...strikes me as kind of a morale killer...

I agree.

This trade had nothing to do with "depth" or "getting a good penalty killer".

They're saving $2 mil this year, which will be used elsewhere through trades as the deadline approaches.

Happy New Years guys.

Winter classic on, Fenway looks nice.

Zdeno Chara is the Yao Ming of the NHL. NBC should figure out a way to get some Canadian commentators, ala ESPN.

ESPN had Gary Thorne. Not Canadian.

I'm not talking about their NHL department, but doesn't matter.

Play has picked up second period. Philly pushing.

45.7 seconds left in the third, Philly trips Savard.

Boston scores in overtime. The game had a boring first half, both teams did not want to give up the first goal. The Neil Diamond song changed the complexion of the game though, lol, who knew? Good win for the Bruins. Awesome game.

How the Flyers didn't score in OT immediately after the penalty ended I'll never know.

Awesome ending.

Mike Komisarek did as well, but Kessel is a little more personal for the B's fans

I didn't go to the game, but I passed fenway park. What a scene. Tons of philly fans made the trip, and 75 percent of fans bought those 200 dollar jerseys. Boston made 38 million I believe.

Went home and watched the game. It was great.

I was in Chicago last New Year's, but none of my friends wanted to hang out at Wrigley. Something that still irks me today.
