I cant believe Brown didnt get suspended, what a load of crap. It cheered me up greatly to watch Ericsson fight Perry though, and beat him.

I will be at theJoe in Detroit for Game 2 tommorow, im very excited for it! The ducks are probably my least favorite team in the league, so i will be hoping for a beating

Settle down. The Capitals were outshot by 10 and only won by one on home ice.

Although Varlamov made one of the most incredible saves I've ever seen.

That's a questionable penalty (i agree with CBC) nevermind a suspension. If that's a suspension then every big hit Stevens did during his career would have made him the dirties player ever

On another note, don't look now but the Capitals have won 5 of their last 6

Anyone still doubting Varlamov? Kid is a beast and a top NHL goalie in the making.

WHat game were you watching? Capitals got lucky that Varlamov made a great save or else it would be 1-0 Pens in the series.

Caps got lucky? How about the Pens got lucky that they were even within one? Eaton's goal was total fluke, Varlamov stops that 99 out of 100 times.

Pens barely had quality scoring chances and the Caps had a bunch of them. The better team won today and most likely will win this series. Epic Fail = Crosby celebrating and then post game trying to deflect it away by saying he wanted to a review so he did it. Yeah... sure.

Because we all know that one goal leads are so big and no one can overcome them

Eaton's goal was a total fluke, just like Varlamov's save was total luck. Call it a draw and it's still only a one goal game on your home ice.

You're a huge homer if you think that the Caps dominated.

You said Ryder is like Phil Kessel, but more ass.
-two of the best players in the playoffs right now.

Sh00n, just admit you're wrong already. It's **** tiring trying to convince you. When your not **** on teams, you're actually a good poster.

Because Laraque would knock the **** out of him. Is Komisarek known as a fighter? Nope. But whatever, excuses, excuses. When Laraque was in Pittsburgh Lucic's excuse was he had a broken nose - now he's scared that Julien will bench him ONLY if he fights Georges. Yeah, I'm sure Claude would bench him in the playoffs for fighting him. Makes sooo much sense.

If you saw Ryder in Montreal, you'd see where I'm coming from. He scored the emptiest 30 goal seasons I've ever seen from a player. So yeah, I was wrong on Ryder, but I'll also go out and say Michael Ryder from Montreal is a scrub. He's just lucky Julien turned his career around.

Thanks for the compliment.

Your a huge homer if you didn't see the difference in the quality of scoring chances and the ability of one team to control the tempo. The Pens pressured the Caps for the first 10 minutes and it ended their.

Hard for twirl to be a homer when A. He's a fan of an AHL team and B. the two teams he follows in the NHL didn't make the playoffs.

I can't comment on the game, only saw the 3rd Period. What I can comment on is the Hawks taking the game over in the 2nd and beating the Canucks 6-3. Certainly wasn't a must-win, but a great win to get.

What's more likely, a Wild and Predators fan being a homer for the Penguins or a Capitals fan being a homer for the Capitals?

He's a Capitals fan and they are just like Flyer fans when they play the Pens, everyone is against their team and is a homer for the Pens. Bettman totally wants Cindy Crysby to win the like Stanley Cup and the season has been fixed.

I also forgot to mention this. If you think the Capitals did dominate the game, then your team has some major problems. They dominate the game and only win 3-2 when Fleury played a pretty bad game.

Dunno about that "no-goal" call on the potential 3rd goal for Carolina. That was definitely in imo.

I thought it was in, too. So did Andy Brickley, which is saying something.

Brickley isn't a homer, you're confusing him with Jack Edwards.

If Ward plays like this for the rest of the series, the bruins are done. Did anyone see that last save!?! Ryder saw his goal, and ward stole it away.
