The Wild have upped the quality of their broadcast about 1000 times with the addition of these two.

4-0 for the Grandpa Wings all you "haters" can keep hating will will continue winning games. We have the best GAA in the league right now with only 5 goals allowed.

I know it's still a very young season but the next 5 games are going to be tough for us we have the Jackets on Friday, The Capitals on Saturday, Jackets again on Tuesday, Sharks on Friday and The Wild on Saturday I would be thrilled with a 4-1 record vs them. But would settle with a 3-2 record. The Caps are off to a good start minus their shaky goaltending it's been bad so far

The Wings are 4-0? I didn't notice since we're four games into the year.

If you want to act like a douche at least get your facts straight we are 6 games into the season get it right Pittsburgh has played 6 and a lot of teams are at 5 GP.

I'm not trying to get into a big ol' Wings conversation because I know the dislike for my team is greater than alot of others; which I get.

Though to chime in ever so briefly, we are definitely playing well to start the year, which is nice. Like WEFFPIM said though, 4 games doth not a season make. Better than a Columbus start I suppose. And while we are certainly an older team now, when Lidstrom, Holmstrom and Bertuzzi leave next year and some of the kids come up from GR (Tatar, Nyquist, Smith) and get a chance, we will actually have a pretty young core with some guys right in their primes. I'm quite looking forward to it.

On a unrelated side note.....goodness Phil Kessel. Another one of his streaks or he is going to bring it full time this season?

This is the Phil Kessel Burke must have envisioned when he made that trade to Boston. He is the main reason the Leafs haven't lost a regulation game yet. Hopefully the rest of the team starts playing to their capabilities soon or I fear he will be burned out by the end of the year.

Kessel definitely has the talent to be better than a 32-32-64 player, and should be at 40-goals per season until he is 30. What has impressed me is his passing so far; great vision.

Ya he's looked great so far this season, if he can keep this up that trade might not look so horrible.

Finally got the chance to sit down and watch a Hawks game this year. Kane and Hossa together was fun to watch, and Duncan Keith actually looked like the guy who won the Norris two seasons ago, not the pile of hot garbage he was last year. Dan Carcillo looks rather competent when on a line with Jonathan Toews. Also, the Hawks and Avs moved at a pace so quick it blew my toupee off.

Phil Kessel has always had the talent to do what he' doing right now. Yes, he's sometimes inconsistant...but he's a dynamic offensive player. When he's got Joey Crabb on his line like he did last year, it's no surprise he went long stretches without doing anything productive. If you put a top center, or a playmaking winger on his line, he'll be scary.

Yeah it's going to be a great game maybe even a possible Stanley Cup Finals preview. I suspect a win for us. Great being 5-0 and yes we have played some easy teams but it's still very good to say we own the best GAA in all the league

That would require the Caps not choking in the playoffs.

lulz, whoever works those white spotlights for goals for the Canucks just had an epic fail. Turned them on when there wasn't a goal.

My favorite is when the production crew in Calgary screws up and starts the goal stuff, since giant flames erupt everywhere.

I went to a game in Calgary a few years ago and the flames weren't working right. So every like 10 minutes or so giant flames would erupt for no reason, it even happened during the intermission, it was hilarious.

Canucks trade Samuelsson and Sturm to Florida for Booth, Reinprecht and a 3rd-rounder.

What a deal for Vancouver. And what a stupid deal for Florida.

what the hell is Florida thinking?

And Gionta is going to be hearing from the league after going after Reimers head. That looked intentional to me
