I know nothing about that.

Unreal. You could argue an 8 point night now equals a 12 point night in the 80's. Largely Gagner has underperformed in his career. He has a lot of skills, but has never seemed to put it all together, especially over an entire season.

That 8 point game was one for the ages, makes it even more special against a great Blackhawks team as well.

Great to see The Wings win another game and to see Hudler being a nice fit for this team. Remembering being at the draft in Toronto when he was picked and Bowmen was raving about him saying he's a special talent.

The Central division is crazy good this year 4 possible playoff teams in it all being 60+ teams would hate to face one come the playoffs thank god we are playing #8 not #7

Blackhawks could sure use a center. And a defenseman. And a goalie. And another defenseman.

The Detroit Red Wings equaled an NHL record with their 20th straight win at home, beating the Philadelphia Flyers 4-3 Sunday night on the strength of Johan Franzen's tiebreaking goal early in the third period.

The league mark was set by the Boston Bruins during the 1929-30 season and matched by Philadelphia in 1976. Detroit can break the record with a win Tuesday night over the Dallas Stars at Joe Louis Arena.
"I definitely knew he traveled, but I didn't know they were going to call it. That was one of them situations in which a great player made a move...and they called the call. And I was like, 'Oh, man, there is a God.'

Oilers resigned Andy Sutton yesterday which is a bit of a shame because I thought we might of been able to get something decent for him at the deadline. But I have liked having on this team and it sounds like he really likes living and playing here.

Still can't believe the hate The Wings get. Even with this great record we get **** like well you guys play in a easy division and conference which is freaking stupid. Look at the central division you have 3 elite 3 and one on the cusp in Nashville.

Hope The Wings win again and it's nice to see MacDonald getting some burn over Ty Conklin. Conlkin should just be waived since Joey Mac is 3-1-1 amd what is Ty 0-100-0?

I have never heard anyone bash the quality of the West or Central Division; I have heard the opposite from writers actually, indicating it is now the toughest division in hockey.

Its weird how much people bash you guys. I have nothing but respect for the Wings and the central is by far the toughest division in hockey right now, Nashville, St. Louis and Chicago are all legit and right now the central is only division with more than one team with 70 points, they actually have 3 and if Chicago was in a different division they'd definitely have 70+ points.

Well the people that bash it are die hard Leaf fans on my MSN and a few sites I go on saying The Wings don't trade their talent and blah the have have a easy schedule and blah this and blah that. The Central division is just insane you have 4 top teams in The West and one being the best team in The NHL. I still say for my money Ken Hitchcock is coach of the year look at the turn around when he was off the team to when he signed with them.

Well the writers in the know give us a lot of credit I just can't believe how good this team has been with a average Zetterberg this year. Goes to show you the strength of our drafting and depth. Should be a very interesting 2nd half of hockey to say the least hope The Wings make a strong push for a proven playoff goalie and maybe a good 2nd line winger or if we really want to get somebody good there is always Rick Nash.

Ehh, its regular season. They will likely get bounced in the 2nd round of playoffs again.

Look at the Coyotes fan bringing the smack all of a sudden.

It's funny the Coyotes fan says the Wings will get bounced in the 2nd round again when the Coyotes would be playing the Wings in the 1st round. Hey, the Wings would be 3 for 3 in the playoffs against the Coyotes the last 3 years then. Although it probably helps the Wings when every game is a home game in that series.

I definitely got a good chuckle from the last few posts. I wasn't aware my acknowledgement of an NHL record would get the Yotes fans bringing the heat
