Since there's not a lot of traffic on the NHL draft board I thought i'd post this here.
While most of the leagues teams and fans are preparing for the playoffs the rest of us are left to look forward to this day, the draft lottery. As it stands right now the Edmonton Oilers have a 48.2 percent chance, followed by the Colorado Avalanche 18.8 percent, the Florida Panthers 14.2 percent, The New York Islanders 10.7 percent and Ottawa Senators 8.1 percent all have a shot at getting the first pick in the draft.

If there's any team that needs this top pick, it's the Florida Panthers.

Congrats, New Jersey. You win the Draft Lottery and now pick 4th.
What a strange lottery format.

Well with the offensive talent Edmonton has you would think the Swedish defensmen would be the way to go there.
Bummed the Avs get the 2 pick and the Devils get the 4

Larrson makes the most sense for us, he's exactly what we need. But I wouldn't mind Ryan Nugent-Hopkins either. This offseason is going to be key for us, we have to spend smart and try to move some of our crappy contracts.
