Why are hockey players so boring?

Why do hockey players lack any sort of personality at all? Compared to the NBA and NFL, hockey players might as well be robots with hockey sticks. Their interviews are beyond boring, and even in interviews that aren't meant to be serious they show no personality at all.

Who gives a **** if they're boring? Who listens to player interviews anyway? It's cliché after cliché for all of them no matter what the sport.

There are tons of hockey players with personality. A few names past and present that come to mind are: Patrick Roy, Alex Ovechkin, Jeremy Roenick, Ryan Getzlaf, Patrick Kane, Eric Staal...

I guess they have no personality in terms of making crappy rap music videos, holding out of their contracts year after year, and getting arrested (as much). So much for personality.
You should watch the HBO 24/7 series. You'll see a lot more than you usually do in interviews.

It's not just the players, the game of hockey is incredibly boring. I'm still unable to figure out how these people can actually watch it.

Oh whatever.. Vincent Damphouse, Patrick Roy etc have been known to beat there wives. Don't play that card please it makes you sound childish. If your going to make a statement say the specific races don't make fringe arguments and beat around the bush. Its obvious what your trying to say....

PS. Remember most hockey players are middle class because to play hockey you have to pretty much be middle class or higher..so there problems aren't the same as the players from the NFL, or NBA they have a lot alcohol abuse or marriage problems.
