Blackhawks sign Montador

Sportsnet.ca is reporting that Montador was signed to a four-year deal worth $11 million on Thursday afternoon. The defenseman, whose negotiating rights the Blackhawks acquired from the Buffalo Sabres on Wednesday night, will make $2.75 million according to Sportsnet.ca’s report.

Seems like a little too much for Montador, but he had a great season last year and the Blackhawks really need some depth on the blue line.
