This is pretty surprising. The Bruins gave up a lot for Kaberle. I definitely thought he'd re-sign.

Eh not a big fan of the signing for the Huricanes, Kaberle looked really bad after the trade from Toronto. Plus Boston just picked up Joe Corvo from the Canes today for a 4th rounder, he should be able to fill in for Kaberle on the powerplay.

They overpaid for a guy on the decline; I mean this is almost as much as he made last year. And getting Corvo for virtually nothing was a real good Plan B for Boston.

Kaberle played very well for Maurice in Toronto and I expect him to do well in Carolina with Staal and Skinner on the PP. He didn't fit in well with Boston's style of play. A little overpaid but I'm glad it's only a 3 year deal. Good signing for Carolina.
