Pronger out for Regualr Season and Playoffs

Post#1 » by Nolan » Fri Dec 16, 2011 12:56 am

Via Twitter

DNFlyers Frank Seravalli
BOMBSHELL: According to Paul Holmgren, Chris Pronger is out for the remainder of the regular season and playoffs.

This is a huge blow to the Flyers chances at winning a cup. I'm guessing they're going to be shopping for some help on the backend.

First thought, it must be really bad if they're ruling him out now.

Second thought, can't wait for the next episode of 24/7

Jumping the gun here, but if Pronger were to have to retire, Philly would be stuck with a 5 million dollar cap hit ever year for years to come unless a future CBA eliminates that rule. What happens when you sign a 35 year old until 42.

There's some really rough rumors about Pronger's condition. Saying he's stumbling around, can't remember stuff last week. Take it with a grain of salt but I hope he isn't permanently effected and I'd be surprised if he played again

I think most people would be suprised to see him come back. He's basically done.
