Dan Carcillo Suspended 7 Games

The Chicago Blackhawks will be without Dan Carcillo for an extended period of time.

The NHL suspended the Blackhawks forward seven games Wednesday for his ugly hit on Edmonton Oilers defenceman Tom Gilbert.

Carcillo launched Gilbert into the boards 7:23 into the second period of the Oilers' 4-3 victory Monday night. The play resulted in a major boarding penalty and a game misconduct.

Well I thought he'd get between 6 and 10 and 7 sounds fair.

The fact that Gilbert isn't too terribly injured probably led to less of a suspension, but I thought he'd get more.

This is his 6th suspension, thus I would have given him about 12. He apparently isnt learning or doesnt care.

Carcillo really hasn't been an issue this year, and I would argue the suspensions he received this season before this one have been more due to his reputation rather than the actual incident. He was a very good offensive weapon at the beginning of the year. But this one clearly crossed the line and he needed to be punished rather handily for it.

How the hell is this ass clown still in the league he's a no talent bum who just wants to hurt people. Wish the Proberts, Domi's, Brasher's were still in the league to pound this guy into a pile of puke that he is.

I don't know who is the bigger cancer Carcillo or Avery?
