Really didnt expect it to happen this season, but in the offseason if they didnt make the playoffs. It comes about 14 months too late. Wilson had been there far too long for the special teams and team defense to not improve regardless of the roster moves.

It was bound to happen with the way they've been playing.

I can't believe it took them this long to let him go. I expect a big turn around for The Leafs or else you are going to see more heads rolling i.e. being traded or released

I don't. Wilson was part of the problem but I just don't think they're that good. They have serious issues in net, they need someone that can kill penalties, and they really need a good centerman.

While their goalies have been terrible over the last month, I think the team defense is just as much to blame; I watch almost every one of their games and the goalies are left out to dry too many times. If Carlyle can clean up the team defense then I think they can get into the playoffs.

Well I don't think they are a great team under Randy C at all I think I worded it wrong. I meant to say that The Leafs are going to be a different team under him, Randy is a take no BS tell it like it is guy who I think the team needs besides a lot more. I think they are a possible 8th seed this year and depending on what they do easily 7th or 8th next year
