The Stanley Cup playoffs are a month away and the Pittsburgh Penguins are loaded for bear.
The club capped off a week of headline-grabbing acquisitions Wednesday night with Jarome Iginla on his way over from the Calgary Flames.
"The type of team we have, the type of players, we will be good for him," Penguins GM Ray Shero told reporters on Thursday morning. "Jarome's going to turn the page, come to Pittsburgh and hopefully help us out."
The deal sending Iginla to the Penguins was completed late Wednesday night. The Flames received college forwards Kenneth Agostino and Ben Hanowski and the Penguins' 2013 first-round draft pick.
Well after a crazy night of rumors and apparently done deals with Boston Jarome Iginla is now a Penguin.
Pittsburgh is by far the best fit for Jarome but the package the Flames got back for him is complete garbage.
