The Ottawa Senators have an opening for a new captain.
Daniel Alfredsson, the 40-year-old forward who has played in Ottawa for the past 17 seasons, will sign a free agent contract with the Detroit Red Wings.
Told details still need to be completed after 12 but Alfie expected to sign 1 yr deal with #Redwings. Also expected to come in less than 6m
