Martin St. Louis might still be in play after all.

Speculation has swirled in the aftermath of a report from Larry Brooks of the New York Post that the Tampa Bay Lightning captain requested a trade following his exclusion from the Canadian Olympic team in January. St. Louis, who has a no-movement clause in his contract, stipulated that he only wanted to be traded to the New York Rangers.

After being named as an injury replacement and winning gold in Sochi, it was unclear whether St. Louis still desired to go north. TSN insider Bob McKenzie, one of the leading information men in the hockey world, is under the impression that St. Louis' request still stands.

Big game by Ovie to beat the Bruins today.

Sabres traded Ryan Miller and Steve Ott. Blues got that much more dangerous.

The Vancouver Canucks have traded goalie Roberto Luongo back to the Florida Panthers. Luongo rejoins the Panthers after having been traded to Vancouver eight seasons ago. The Canucks receive prospect goalie Jacob Markstrom and centre Shawn Matthias in exchange.

He spent five seasons with the Panthers from 2000-01 to 2005-06 before playing the past eight years with the Canucks.

In 42 games with the Canucks this season, Luongo has a .917 save percentage and 2.38 goals against average.

Luongo teams up with Thomas lol.

Claude Giroux with the OT winner with 4 seconds left over Chicago. That's 3 straight for the Flyers after taking 4 points from the Pens over the weekend. What a shot!

It's like the Leafs are trying to one up their game 7 performance from last season.

Grand Rapids Griffins forward Mitch Callahan took a puck to the face. The damage? 9 stitches, 10 lost teeth and a broken jaw. Sounds like the worst 12 Days of Christmas song ever.

And of course in this age of social media, he took a selfie.

Spoiler:

Wow, the Blues do it again at the end of the 3rd!

This is just an amazing series between 2 cup favourites in the first round

They're playing great hockey, which kills me as a Leaf fan haha. Tampa Bay is all but done.. going to the Bell Centre down 2 games isn't a good scenario.

And to think the Habs were talking about waiving Rene Borque.

If the Habs can keep this up I can easily see them making a cup run. When Price is on there's no one better.

Jim Rutherford steps down as Canes GM and Ron Francis moves up. Rutherford is part owner so he stays on in advisory role. Good for Francis. Hope he gets things straight as this team has too much talent to be playing so poorly this season.

Can't believe the Kings won that series.

That's why I love the NHL Playoffs more than the NBA Playoffs. Any match-up, despite seeding, can be up for grabs. Also finding yourself down in an 0-3 hole doesn't mean the series is over. My Flyers did it to Boston in 2010 and it was probably one of the greatest things in sports to watch.

Francis fires Kirk Muller and most of the coaching staff. Seems his first order of business after rising to GM is to clean house. Given how poorly this team played after having high expectations, cannot say this is a surprise.
