Chayka is getting another job in hockey... higher up than a GM. Right now the Hawks have an interim president and ownership was looking to find a new candidate asap that could take over long term. That's the only real opening in the league right now.

I thought that he was not allowed to be a PoHO or GM according to his Coyotes contract. New Jersey was another team mentioned. His analytics company interested Toronto, for sure.
