Predictions for the Playoffs

Post#1 » by Andrea>Dirk » Mon Apr 2, 2007 1:38 am

Who are you taking for the EC and WC champions? And who to win the cup?

I'm standing by my pre-season choice of the Ducks to beat the Sens(ew).

Ottawa in the EC.
San Jose in the WC.

San Jose with the Stanley Cup win.

No faith in those predictions though. I think it'll be a very competitive playoffs.

In your scenario you have both 6th seeds winning and than playing the 2nd seed in the 2nd round. However in hockey I believe the lowest seed plays the top seed in every round or have they changed that recently.

If my beloved Leafs don't make it, I'm cheering for the Rangers in the East.

As for the West, I'm not even sure you wanna finish first and face the Flames first lol. I'd wanna face Dallas in the first round because in the playoffs Turco can't save anything (Smith's alright, but nothing special yet). So in the West, I could see Calgary coming out.

My predictions:

East:
Buf > NYI
TBL > NJD
Atl > NYR
Ott > Pit

West:
Cal > Det
Ana > Min
Van > Dal
SJS > Nas

I really think, as much as it pains me, that the canucks are are the strongest in the west. The east it seems pretty clearly buffalo.

Jeremy Roenick says Anaheim over Ottawa in 6 in the finals. Since I can't remember the last time Jeremy Roenick was wrong, I then choose to agree with his prediction
