Joe Sakic has signed on for a 19th NHL season with the Colorado Avalanche franchise, signing a one-year deal for 2007-08.

This probably isnt too surprising. Either way, good to see him back another year.

I saw on The Score that he will make 6.75 million next year.

Yeah this is a great signing for hockey in general. Sakic is a class act and a great player.

Maybe he saw the Yzerman vs. Sakic thread and wanted to break Stevie Y's numbers :lol:

I read the deal was worth $6.75 mil, a million more than what he made last season.

good to hear - hes one of my favorite players growing up - loved those detroit/colorado games

Although its 6.75 he still had a great year this year. He hasn't really shown any signs of slowing down.
