Nuts to reading, I'd rather make bold, unproven assumptions and hope for the best

I'm glad Chicago won it. They're going to have some nice players in the future, things are starting to look up in Chi-Town.

I am happy that Chicago won because we really need them to be a strong team if we want the NHL to be a heathly league.

Chicago is gunna get another great young player to go with Toews, Havlat, etc. They have potential in a few years

havlat could cause them some real headaches though if he can't stay healthy. That big of a contract really hurts a salary cap if he spends most of his time in the stands

Nice to Chicago to get another top pick. Their core is going to look scary come draft time.

I'm apparently alone in feeling this, but I really wish Chicago didn't win it. All this does is remind me that the Oilers were ahead of the Blackhawks in draft seeding until they beat the Flames, and they could have had the same chance of winning the lottery. Stupid "Battle of Alberta"...

Im glad to see some positive comin out of that loss. Lose to the Oilers who feel all great because they make us and ten colorado loses.

Then you see Edmonton finish ahead of Chicago and could have been in the same position

Colorado lost before the third period of the Oilers game. They had plenty of time to find a way to blow the game but they didn't. Personally, I blame the Flames for sucking so much. They were supposed to be the far superior team but they forgot what time the game was at. So now all I have is the knowledge that Detroit can't possibly blow another first round series as the deciding favourite

Wrong time fir the Blackhawks to win the lottery, this is a very weak draft. Oh well, a #1 pick is still good. If I had to make an early guess it would be Patrick Cane, he should help with their scoring woes.

I was in London so I dont know what times the games were at only the scores.

Flames are the far superior teams but with an assitant coach coaching you and a guy who shouldnt even be the coach of a little league team in Rich Preston it is hard to win.

They are horrible caoches where they are at although Playfair is a great assistant but not so much head coach.

When New Jersey fired Julien I was hoping Calgary would do the same and bring back Sutter ASAP.

Detroit wont blow it but we will blow them up rather.

Washington is looking real nice now with a top 5 pick. If I were them I would be looking to draft Karl Alzner to bolster up their defense or Angelo Esposito to put on the wing with Semin and Ovechkin.

They have Backstrom to come in to play with Semin and Ovechkin so if I were them I'd be looking at Karl Alzner to shore up their defense.
