Soooo its that time of the year again, hockey season is just around the corner. Is anyone interesting in making/joining a realgm yahoo fantasy league and make it a third consecutive year? MAS?

I'll be in for my 3rd season with you RealGM folks. I've yet to attend a draft, so hopefully I can select my own team this year.

Hey MAS if you're making a league, can you maybe make it with fewer spots available like 14 or 16 teams or so? It seems like there's always a few managers who end up quitting shortly after the draft.

Also can you make it with more active roster spots and larger roster in general? Like 4 each of C, LW, RW and 4 or 6 D and 2 G and a 4 or 6 bench?

Let's hope this year everyone stays active for the whole season. Kinda sucks that some quit in the beginning or middle of a season. I love competitive and active leagues!

That's the plan, there will only be 16 teams this time around. I don't want anyone quitting right away or I'll be pissed.

I'm gonna make it at a time where everyone is available (I hope) so if your not right away, please make yourself available

I'd like to add, this league will require activity throughout the entire hockey season. We've had too many people completely neglect the league and never check back due to their poor record (most of the time).

12/16 only 4 more to go then we get this bad boy up there. I am working Thursday, Friday and Saturday can we do this Sunday? If not I will PM my list to MAS

Is it possible to hold off on the draft until its closer to the beginning of the season? I usually like to see which new guys make their teams and who doesn't. Also, it gives you a chance to see if guys like Niedemeyer and Selanne will or won't retire which could affect the draft alot.

Mid to late september isn't too late is it?

I was thinking the same, I just picked random time so i could just have the pool made

I will keep active in this league. I understand your point though. People just forget halfway through, and when you propose trades to them, they dont respond. Pisses me off. Thats why I dont play in public leagues anymore, for other sports. Tends to happen alot.

I am definatly in... Fantasy Hockey is my favourite of all fantasy sports. I was in 3 leagues last year (all for $$) and so I am an active and respectful GM. I hope it's fantasy draft and head to head. Either way, I'm in.

So is anyone else in and will play through the whole season? If not then maybe reduce the league to 14 teams or even 12 if you have to.

Also anyone got any suggestions for league settings? I know I'd like bigass rosters with the manager reductions this year. And also have several IR positions. And possibly more categories to compete in.
