List one player who you think will have a breakout season next year.

Nicklas Backstrom of the Caps. If he gets put on a line with Semin and/or Ovechkin; lookout.

He reminds me of the Malkin situation last year. Extremely talented player who everyone isnt sure of how they will do.

I dont really consider a rookie to someone who would be having a breakout year. Also Backstrom isnt even close to the talent that Malkin is and its been pretty much decided already that Ovechkins center willbe either Nylander or Kozlov.

Not really up to speed on other teams that much but for the Sharks, I really like:

Devon Setoguchi
Milan Michalek
Steve Bernier

Although it can be argued that Michalek already broke out :D

Vlasic would be a good pick for a player to break out on the Sharks.

Him as well.. Carle...

Hell, throw everyone on the Sharks that's under 25 on a dartboard, spin it and throw... you have a damn good chance of being correct :D

Michalek, Bernier, Setoguchi, Pavelski, MEV, Carle, Clowe (btw, I change my vote to Ryan Clowe, who I've heard will be on Line 1 to start with Cheeck and Super Joe).

But I do hope an elite, tough-hitting defenseman finds himself available at the deadline... we sure could use one.
