He got 25. And deserved every one of them. Philadelphia is a joke in this league. Look at these garbage players they have on their team. He hit this 10 years ago in the OHL and ended a players career. Shame on Philadelphia for bringing this filth into the NHL.

He deserves the 25 games. But Kelser was the one who instigated this whole thing. He was going after Boulerice for most the game, he went out looking for trouble and got it. I'm not trying to justify what Boulerice did but Kelser was trying to pick a fight with one of dirtest players in the league.

He was trying to pick a fight not a cross check to the face/neck. Be a man and drop the gloves, which Boulerice isn't.

Those little battles happen in hockey on on daily basis, that's what happens throughout games. Watch any hockey game at any arena, you'll see mini battles going on... little taps on the back of the leg, pushes when they skate by each other, trash talking, etc.

With that said, Boulerice took it way too far, and deserved MORE than 25 games. I wanted to see the NHL set an example, like they tried to do with Bell. These hits to the head, especially with sticks deserve a harsh punishment. The NHL should've made a statement with this incident, and with Downie.

They should've given Downie 30 games, and Boulerice 40-45 games. It'll make players think twice before they do something stupid, and make them realize that this nonsense is coming to an end.

One day we're simply going to see a player die on the ice from a headshot, and it'll be too late for the NHL to do anything about it.

I didnt realize it, but Jesse has done this before. He was suspended an entire season in the OHL for a much worse hit that seriously messed up Andrew Long.

Its just brutal. This makes him kinf of a repeat offender, and he should be gone for the year.

The point is that Philadelphia is probably not a "joke"

Philadephia isn't a bad team, they're going to surprise many. They're getting dependable goaltending from Biron right now, and have quite a few players upfront that's going to keep them in games.
