Thrashers fire coach Bob Hartley

Post#1 » by HMFFL » Wed Oct 17, 2007 7:02 pm

ATLANTA (TICKER) -- The Atlanta Thrashers fired coach Bob Hartley on Wednesday.

Though assistant coach Brad McCrimmon ran Wednesday's practice, general manager Don Wadell will take over coaching duties on an interim basis.

The Thrashers have scheduled a news conference for 2 p.m. EDT, when Wadell will confirm the first coach firing of the 2007-08 NHL season.

"I have enormous respect for Bob and what he's done here for the Atlanta Thrashers as a coach and as a person," Thrashers' co-owner Bruce Levenson told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution on Wednesday.

There really not that talented.

Outside of Kovalchuk, Hossa and Kozlov they have basically nothing.
