So it looks like Crosby is out for 4 weeks with a high ankle sprain. Bad news for the Pens, we'll see who steps up and what happens to them during the 4 week stretch. Obviously a huge blow to the team.

At least 4 weeks. Well, one good thing is the week off for the all star game so that will lessen the blow a bit.
I am upset with Crosby over this injury though. He had 2-3 secs to move his legs so he didn't go feet first into the boards. I am wondering why he didn't do that.

It was only a matter of time. Given his size, how much he's targeted, and the way he plays...I'm surprised he didn't sustain a more serious injury earlier in his career.

This is gonna turn out to be one boring All Star Game. No Heater, no Crosby. Let's just hope Sundin and Malkin are the replacements

I have no idea what this means for the Penguins, but it can't be good.

And Huselius for Statsny.
Then throw in Denis Hamel instead of Malkin. Phaneuf is playing......

I know there is no checks in the all star game

Well that is terrible news for the Pens and hockey in the smaller US markets since Crosby = hockey.
Without him the ASG will not have as much ratings as if he played in it. I think Sundin and Ilya will be the replacements

Pens beat the Habs with a Crosby less team. I didn't see that coming, I don't see them making any ground in the East to teams like NJ, Philly and Ottawa.

I would prefer the Pens to finish 6th in the conference anyway. They still don't have the defense to beat a New Jersey or Ottawa in the playoffs. And as of right now, unfortunately, a Philly team either.

Now it appears to be 8 weeks.
