Why are all the rumors about the Ducks? They are rumored to be getting Blake without giving up Ryan Getzlaf, Perry, Chris Pronger, Scott Niedermayer and Mathieu Schneider and then what's worse is they are rumored to be getting Sundin for the same thing. How can they give up nothing for superstars?
They don't have cap room and I doubt LA would take Teemu for Blake or Toronto wouldn't either.

they do have some capspace now, their problem before was that they were over next year's cap with the getzlaf deal so they had to trade a longer contract (macdonald) for a shorter one (weight).
I don't see why you would think they would possibly trade any big contributors for rentals, theres no way LA gets a guy like perry for blake and they wouldn't want schneider's contract. They still do have near 4 mill in cap space (according to nhlscap.com), and some assets like bobby ryan, edmonton's pick, and they could always trade a guy like beauchemain who would have a lot of value.

How do they have cap room when they resigned Scott and Teemu? I think they used it all. The point I was making is the rumor had them giving up **** for allstars they said that Toronto is ready to trade Sundin for Beaucheman and Ducks 1st this year. Why on earth would they take that when Detroit is giving up Fillipula, Kindl and a couple of picks.

Dude Rob Blake is no longer even close to a superstar.

Still a pretty damn good player though that would help the Ducks PP or any PP.

They dont need him on there PP. They already have two capable blueliners who are better players then him taking up that role. Really Blake has been very mediocre the past few seasons and the only thing that is keeping people thinking he's still a very good defencemen are his point totals and that has alot to do with playing on a very skilled powerplay team. He's also been a giveaway waiting to happen in his own zone and no longer had the skating he once did.
also, do you have some sort of link showing that Detroit has said they would be willing to give up both Filpula and Kindl plus a pick for Sundin?

I was wondering the same thing. I haven't heard anything about it, and it seems rediculous that we would trade EITHER of Filppula or Kindl for Blake or Sundin, let alone BOTH of them. Then to include pick(s) in the deal makes it even more insane.

I can't pull up the link again, I remember the deal was in place keyword was. I will see if I can pull it once again
Here was one I pulled
To Toronto:
Jimmy Howard
Detroit 1st Rounder (2008)
Detroit 1st rounder (conditional 2009 if Sundin signs with another team)
Detroit 4th rounder (2008)
Nikalas Kronwall
To Detriot:
Mats Sundin
Kyle Wellwood
Toronto 6th rounder (whenever Deroit wants)
Thats terrible for Detroit I mean 3 picks for Sundin and Wellwood. Thats pretty bad. Howard is our number 1 goalie in 2 years why would we trade him for a quick fix?
http://www.nhl-trade-rumors.com/rumors.htm has to be the worst rumor site ever I mean some insider actually said that this is a great deal for Washington

Mats Sundin to Washinton
Oveckin, Semin, Backstrom, and Mike Green to Toronto

That's stupid trade for Detroit to do.
That Washington - Toronto deal, that was obviously sent in by a Toronto fan. Dumbest trade ever!!!

I know what you're thinking. We're in the middle of a city, what's a hawk doing there?

Who had the audacity to even think of that trade let alone post it on a website...
