This year, the question is more like: which defensemen can stay healthy?

But I think Lubomir Visnovsky will be in that top five, now that he's been moved to a team that will give him far better scoring chances.

Dan Boyle is going to be a beast this year on that powerplay. He has a good shot at being one of the 5 best this season.

Braydon Coburn will be the young defencemen to break out.

He may not be good enough to be on this list, but Braydon Cobourn will catch a lot of attention this year. He'll be considered an elite defenseman very shortly.

From the way the announcers on Versus were talking about how the Flyers would have beat the Pens last year in the playoffs had he been healthy, he is the second coming of Bobby Orr.

Kuba has been impressive since coming to the Sens. Not top #5 impressive, but he's been wonderful on the PP and set an NHL record for consecutive assist games to start a season.

Gretzky and another player hold the record so far at 12 consecutive games with an assist.

Maybe consecutive DURING the season, but not to START the season.

He over took Park from the Bruins who had held the record since '81
