"One of the big names that could have been on the move Wednesday is officially staying put.
The Ottawa Senators announced they have re-signed 32-year-old defenseman Filip Kuba to a three-year contract extension. Terms of the deal were not disclosed."
Rumor has it the deal is worth 11 million over 3 years, equalling 3.5 a year for the Big Fella.
This is a good move for Ottawa, who have been seaching for defensive help ever since Chara, Redden and Mezaros left town. At least Kuba is big and makes good decisions in his own end.
Looks like Ottawa's day is done. Thoughts?
