I actually used this last season, it was really helpful. I found it easier than NHL.com. So thanks for doing it again.

I like doing it, personally. Feel like it helps me becoem a better fan of the NHL when I can see teams that go on hot streaks or cold streaks going into the playoffs.

Awesome WEFFPIM. Still waiting to see that youtube clip of you eating fire since the Brewers made it to the post season last year.

Anyway, big game tonight between the Pens and Panthers. Prediction: 3-1 Pens.

Let's just say if I do ever do that, it won't be me posting that clip most likely.

Nice work!

The bottom of the West is crazy. 7-13 within 4 points of each other!

Bruins are in some trouble right now. They have been slumping for over a month. I do think they can get back on track and finally make it past the first round though, hopefully.

Updates after tonight's games...

-Blackhawks stop sucking but Hurricanes slide past Florida for 7th.
-Anaheim in three-way ( :eyebrows: ) with Minnesota and Dallas.
-Tampa and Ottawa in a game that no one gives a s*** about.

Yet that was the game televised in Canada.

Anaheim. . .they are tough to get a read on. Do you think they are actually making a run, or accepted they will not get past SJ, Det or Cal and just threw in the towel?

And i never imagined. . .even part way through the season with all their injuries, that Colorado would be last in the West. That really suprises me. To think Forsberg was going to come help them in the playoffs

Colorado's also missing Sakic though. Not saying he'd have them as a top team in the league, but he definitely would've been huge for them.

Updates...

-Calgary scores 3 in the 3rd and wins in a shootout in Detroit, but Detroit takes over top spot in the West because San Jose couldn't beat St. Louis
-In all seriousness, the Blues are now only two points out of the playoffs :o
-The Rangers win in Nashville and move into 7th because Carolina has approximately 4 games left to play. Florida can't find enough players with enough healthy body parts and loses in Buffalo, so the Panthers are out. Sabres now only 3 points out.
-Nashville losing means they've been bumped out of the West, Dallas moves in with a win over Carolina. Minnesota pulls the "wait and see" approach.
-All three bottom feeders in the East (Atlanta, Tampa, NYI) all won, Atlanta and New York winning on the road, in Canada over playoff teams. Let that sink in.
-Here comes the Columbus Freakin' Blue Jackets, now only a point behind Vancouver for 5th.
-Brodeur is closing in Patrick Roy's win record. It helps when you're facing a team like the Coyotes, though, who just recently saw "Titanic" and ran with that idea.

Don't memorize these, it can all change tomorrow. Well, very little can change tomorrow, actually. Only two games, both out West. Columbus Awesome Jackets at the Blackhawks (!!!), LA Kings (Playoffs? Eh...sure, why the f*** not?) @ Vancouver (Our twins will knife you).

Detroit clinches the first official playoff spot. Blackhawks continue to collapse. Here come the Blues.

Sorry it's taking me awhile to update these, I've been sick the last few days and therefore going to bed before some of these games end.

B's lost to the Kings. Got a point out of it, but man have they been playing bad lately.

Time to celebrate, our first team eliminated! Those pesky New York Islanders will no longer be making any miracle run to the postseason.

And CC, while the Bruins haven't been playing well, at least you're not a Habs fan, or a Hawks fan, who have lost 4 straight and now have lost hold of that 4th seed that was once secured in concrete.

So, my mystery disease is a lung infection of sorts that is running rampant throughout Northern Illinois, so I'm on treatment and hope to be back to normal within a week, at which time I will be much better at updating these at night. You're starting to see a bit more separation in the West appear. If the Blue work their way into the playoffs then you might as well hand Andy Murray the Jack Adams.

Can NBC show a game that doesn't involve the Rangers, Flyers, Pens or Caps? Good Lord.

No. No they can't. What kind of rationale question is that?!?

I can't wait till ESPN gets back coverage. Say what you want, but when they covered hockey, they actually showed some good games.

Apparently they're close to getting it, and will be gaining playoffs, and the finals. As well as a game of a week. That would be so sick. Look how much ESPN's done with Nascar. Imagine that with the NHL. The sport could very well be back on the map.
