Joe Sakic Retires

One of my all time favorites and one of the greatest players of all time. He was always clutch in the playoffs and was a class act for his entire NHL career. He was one of the few guys left from the past generation (Yzerman, Messier, etc...). The NHL is becoming younger and younger.

One of the greatest players to ever play the game and one of my favorites. He's definetly headed to the hall of fame and he deserves it.

Great player no doubt.
Being the Detroit fan i am, i hated playing against him. Like really. But i have nothing but respect for the man, he was a classy player.

This generation is starting to completely go away. Guerin, Tkachuk, Weight, etc... are up next.
Sakic was the most respected player among peers. Even during those nasty Detroit-Colorado series, which were epic. NHL Network did a top 10 of Detroit-Colorado Series and I loved watching Shanahan clothesline Roy. I hated Roy so bad.
