But..

AD and LBJ for Ben Simmons, Cam, Claxton, Royce is a legal trade.. And Brooklyn could take back DAR using a TPE.. And Vincent.

Brooklyn has the Phoenix firsts, the Dallas first.. and Cam/Claxton probably return a decent first each once you flesh the deal out..

That would actually work for both sides. Interesting idea without DAR but maybe Vincent instead.

Dinwiddie, CamT, Mikal, LeBron, Davis
Vincent, Lonnie, DFS, Sharpe

That's almost unfair

AD can't be traded this season and LeBron can opt out this summer. So either LeBron gets traded this week or leaves in the summer.

AD can request a trade this summer, but he's happy in LA. His extension kicks in after next year and he's not one to chase titles.

Spotrac says he can be traded Tuesday.

More like LeBron, Reddish, DAR for Simmons, Cam(J), Claxton and all the picks.

Easily teams that bid separately (and more competitively) for AD.

So LBJ is worth five other team firsts and the 2ish firsts Cam/Claxton bring back? Seems pretty unlikely, even if you charge a first for Simmons second year.

He is Lebron James... I get it. But that’s a pretty big valuation there.

Realistically, if Brooklyn wanted to spend they could take back any two players LAL wanted into their TPE’s. So you could throw Rui off the bench as well.

I’d wonder if LAL pays a first to dump Simmons so they can go into the offseason with only Reaves. Or if there’s really no free agent class this summer, so they’d just keep whatever players, not worry annout next season and try and take Brooklyn’s place in the Spida free agency sweepstakes.

Fair point. I think I was in my head thinking of the picks listed in the post that was quoted earlier. So 3 picks and the two guys. But I don't think that Cam and Claxton would be dealt because if the Lakers wanted to keep AD he could slot right next to both of them. Lakers could then make a big offer for Spida in the summer with the 3 picks plus Lakers own(29, 31 and 30Swap) and have Spida-Reeves-Cam-AD-Clax.

Yeah I don’t see Brooklyn trading 3 firsts, Cam and Claxton for LBJ. That’s a really strong offer for a 39 year old
