Nets Trade- Dorian Finney-Smith, Dennis Smith Jr.
Lakers Trade- Jalen Hood-Schifino, Gabe Vincent, 2028 1st Swap, 2027 LAL 2nd
The Lakers offset the loss of Vanderbilt by adding 2 fantastic and versatile defenders that share the same last name. They also maintain the option to trade 3 1sts this summer if the right player becomes available.
Brooklyn gets a promising rookie PG who’s 6’6 and defensive minded, a perfect fit next to Cam Thomas (or Donovan Mitchell). They also get a 2nd rounder and swap rights in a year when Lebron will be 43.
Yes Gabe Vincent’s contract impedes on their 2025 cap space, but at $11.5 million it should be small enough for Brooklyn to dump at the cost of a 2nd or two.

Re: BKN/LAL- DFS/JHS (Simplified)
Too much risk with that pick and I'm not sure DFS would be more useful than Taurean in that role
Counter offer would be:
JHS & Cam Reddish for Royce O'Neale
Nets save, get a prospect at a position of need, and decent depth wing who seems dedicated to defense this season

Put some sort of protection on the swap and yeah.
Don't hate boB's counter offer either, though I think Brooklyn might owe LA a 2nd back in that one.

Id be very happy with this and would gladly throw in a 2nd like Texas Chuck suggested.

The OP seems reasonable. Nets may get a better offer though. Don't think the Lakers would give up JHS for O'Neale

I think the swap would be 2026.
Not sure Lakers do this though, I mean they'd have to have lost faith in JHS already

The Nets don't have a '26 first to swap. That's why they only got 1 swap out of Phoenix.

Eww
Royce and Prince grade out exactly the same using EPM
They remind me of similar players too even. Prince a slightly better shooter, Royce a slightly better defender maybe?
I want DFS from BKN, that is basically it (that is realistic ofc)
JHS, Vincent, and 2-3 2nds or JHS, Vincent, 26 swap, and a 2nd.
The 26 swap could look nice if Bron walks/retires. BKN gets a decent high reward pick here, but even if it doesnt hit, they still get JHS and a 2nd. Vincent is dead money this year ofc, but I can see him being shipped again next year to a team
